Tanztee im Dom-Café

Ladies und Gentlemen, poliert die Tanzschuhe, legt die Federboas an – es wird glamourös! Wir laden ein zu einem schwungvollen Nachmittag voller Tee, Tanz und Nostalgie. Taucht ein in die mitreißende Welt der 1920er Jahre und lernt die ikonischen Schritte, die einst die Tanzflächen zum Beben brachten: Black Bottom, One Step, Shimmy, Lambeth Walk, Lindy Hop und natürlich den legendären Charleston!

Passend zur Ausstellung des Deutschen Kabarettarchivs „Benjamin, ich hab´ nichts anzuzieh´n!“ – Notentitelblätter und Schlager der Goldenen Zwanziger, verwandelt sich das traditionsreiche Dom-Café mit Hilfe der Tanzschule Willius-Senzer in ein lebendiges Tanzcafé. Lasst euch von der Musik mitreißen, lacht, tanzt und swingt mit uns durch eine Ära voller Glanz, Extravaganz und Lebensfreude!

Die Mainzer Tanzschule Willius-Senzer bringt euch die Moves bei, die damals die Tanzflächen zum Beben brachten.

Die Groove Merchants bringen Swing auf den Hans-Gruber-Platz

Am Sonntag, den 14. Juni, lädt der Förderkreis Kultur Großauheim ab 11 Uhr bereits zum dritten Mal zum beliebten Jazz-Frühschoppen ein.
Nach erfolgreichen Auftritten der Hanauer Jazzbigband und Petit Fleur stehen in diesem Jahr die Groove Merchants auf der Bühne und versprechen ein mitreißendes Musikerlebnis.

Das sechsköpfige Jazz-Ensemble entführt sein Publikum in die Klangwelt der 1930er- und 1940er-Jahre, verbindet dabei jedoch gekonnt traditionelle Elemente mit frischen, modernen Arrangements.
Der augenzwinkernde Bandname geht auf ein gleichnamiges Arrangement des Komponisten Thad Jones zurück, dass für die Musiker eine wichtige Inspirationsquelle darstellt. Die Groove Merchants transportieren die Energie und Lebensfreude des Swing in die Gegenwart und zeigen, dass diese Musikform bis heute Raum für Improvisation und überraschende Wendungen bietet.

Neben musikalischen Genüssen dürfen sich die Besucherinnen und Besucher auch auf bayerische Schmankerl freuen. Veranstaltungsort ist der Hans-Gruber-Platz in Großauheim. Der Eintritt ist frei, Spenden sind willkommen.
Für die jüngeren Besucher gibt es ein Mitmach-Angebot mit Malen und Basteln.

Der Förderkreis Kultur Großauheim freut sich auf zahlreiche Gäste und einen schwungvollen Jazzvormittag unter freiem Himmel.

Die Mainzer Hopper laden wieder zum offenen, freien Training ein um allen die Gelegenheit zu geben den Verein und seine Mitglieder kennen zu lernen, aber vor allem auch einen entspannten Sonntagnachmittag zu vertanzen 🙂
